Messina, 1,030 scrutineers drawn for the European elections

The Electoral Commission of the municipality of Messina, chaired by the councilor Massimiliano Minutoli and composed of the city councilors Concetta Buonocuore, Nicoletta D’Angelo and Amalia Centofanti, in the presence of the delegate of the General Secretary, Dr. Laura Strano, manager of the General Affairs department, in the role of Secretary of the Commission, proceeded this morning in the Hall of Flags, in a public meeting, with the appointment by drawing lots of the 1,030 scrutineers to be allocated to the electoral sections for the European elections of the next 8 and June 9, 2024.

There will be 4 scrutineers in the 253 polling stations, while 2 scrutineers will be assigned to the 9 special polling stations. The names of the scrutineers were extracted from the single register of scrutineers as established by the Ministry of the Interior through the local Prefecture. For the draw, following a random criterion, the management software called Sicraweb in use by the Municipality of Messina was used. The list of scrutineers drawn was promptly published on the institutional website of the Municipality of Messina www.comune.messina.it.

For the first municipality 112 scrutineers were drawn, for the second 130, for the third 248, for the fourth 206, for the fifth 194 and for the sixth 140. Subsequently the nominations as scrutineers will be notified to the address of residence or, in alternatively, from Monday 20th to Saturday 25th May 2024 they can be collected every day, from 9am to 6pm, at the Notifications office in Palazzo Zanca, room no. 63. In case of impediment to carry out the task, the nominee must present a justification to the Electoral Service within 48 hours of receiving the notification.
