Yesterday evening, May 15th, the State Police – Police Headquarters of Asti carried out an extraordinary control service of the territory which involved the crews of the police squad and the Crime Prevention Department of Turin.
The activity, targeted with particular attention to the area of the railway station, the square in front and the surrounding streets and subsequently extended to the eastern area of the city, made it possible to check 6 commercial businesses, identify 80 people and verify the documents of 19 vehicles on the road . A citizen of foreign origin was found in possession of a toy weapon without the required red cap which was seized from him.
The extraordinary controls of the territory ensured by the State Police are aimed at increasing the protection of public safety and the prevention of illegal activities, continuously monitoring the critical areas in order to intervene promptly to combat widespread crime phenomena, such as drug dealing, theft and damage, thus helping to maintain a safe and peaceful environment in which to live and work.
Thanks to a visible and active presence in the area, the State Police intends to demonstrate its commitment in the fight against illegality, thus promoting the well-being of the community as a whole.
