Notice for the rental of municipal properties in Modica. The initiative is financed to generate revenue for the municipal coffers, incentivize new investments, promote new activities and enhance the city’s assets.
The announcement
The announcement concerns three rooms located in Palazzo degli Studi and a fourth room in the former municipal delegation of Modica Alta, near the church of San Giovanni. Palazzo degli Studi, already the subject of investments by the previous administration, is at the center of this tender with the aim of making it a place of interest in the heart of Modica, livable and attractive for tourists.
The Modica Alta venue, 160 square meters under Palazzo Denaro Papa, is being renovated and will be transformed into a meeting centre.
Tino Antoci, councilor for the valorisation of municipal heritage: “The announcement for the rental of municipal properties is online which will allow the income of sums for the municipal coffers, will facilitate investments, incentivize new activities and allow the valorization of assets of our city. A work carried out together with councilor Paolo Nigro, a fundamental contribution for his technical knowledge and the commitment put into achieving this result. Three floors of Palazzo degli Studi will be rented and a fourth site is in the former municipal delegation of Modica Alta, close to the beautiful church of San Giovanni. For Palazzo degli Studi, in which our administration invests resources following a path already traced by the previous city government, this announcement means a further push towards its definitive affirmation as a place of strong interest in the heart of Modica. A ‘heart’ of the City, which we want to be increasingly liveable, attractive, usable, with lights on, attractive and within reach of tourists.
The venue in Modica Alta put up for tender, however, is confirmation of how our administration believes in the valorisation of a part of the city which exudes history and life and which is the soul in which to continue to invest and promote. Here, there is a 160 meter commercial space, under Palazzo Denaro Papa under renovation which will become an extraordinary meeting centre. Together with councilor Nigro, we agreed on the need to push for the valorisation of the ‘assets’ of the historic center but also on the qualification of the upper part of the city. Finally, anything but secondary is the fact that these tenders mean jobs, impetus for entrepreneurial activities in Modica and a concrete perspective for young people and their desire to undertake. The notice is already online on the home page of our organization’s website where the membership form is published and will remain there for a month. The invitation is to immediately propose yourself for development input for our city, for its young people, for those who want to do business and for symbolic places such as Modica alta and Palazzo degli Studi”
The call, which will remain online for a month on the home page of the municipal website, represents an opportunity to create jobs, stimulate local entrepreneurship and offer concrete prospects for young people. The councilor of the Municipality of Modica, Tino Antoci invites anyone interested to present their candidacy, thus contributing to the economic and social development of Modica and to the valorisation of symbolic places such as Modica Alta and Palazzo degli Studi.
