Gabriele Pattitoni died in the early hours of this morning in Sassari hospital, where he had been hospitalized in very serious conditions on the night of May 10th, due to injuries sustained following a collision between two scooters in Olbia.
The accident occurred around 11.15pm: a motorbike with two minors on board was traveling along via Fidia, coming from viale Aldo Moro towards via Veronese, when at the intersection with via Euclide, near the stop sign, crashed into a scooter on which two passengers, also minors, were travelling. In the impact all the boys, seventeen year olds from Olbia, were injured, but one of them, Gabriele, a 17 year old from Olbia, suffered serious injuries when he crashed into the wall of a house and, after an initial intervention by the doctors of the Olbia garrison, was transported by air ambulance to the Sassari hospital to undergo surgery.
This morning his heart stopped beating. The student would have turned 18 in a few months. The Olbia Police are investigating the dynamics of the accident.
