Nuova Pescara 2027: Carlo Costantini already in the electoral campaign

Carlo Costantini does not stop and relaunches with his Civic Movement already in the electoral campaign in view of the elections for New Pescara in 2027.

Electoral campaigns must be planned well in advance, in this sense Pettinari docet, even Carlo Costantini was convinced of this after the defeat in the administrative elections of 8 and 9 June. A flaw dear to the centre-left, he says, is that of announcing its candidate a handful of months before the vote. We learn from mistakes, but also from positive experiences such as that of the work carried out by Masci’s main competitor and by its civic movement made up of young candidates already ready to commit to an electoral campaign lasting two and a half years, up to the elections for the first municipal council of New Pescara, January 2027. A work that from the benches of a firm opposition at Palazzo di Città, will also expand to Montesilvano and Spoltore to involve civic realities of those territories and is preparing to even raise barricades in L’Aquila, if should the hypothesis of a further postponement of the merger take shape in 2028:

“We looked at each other – declared Carlo Costantini today in the Press Conference – and said to ourselves that the experience gained in this electoral campaign can only be a starting point with respect to a program shared by many, which deserves to be proposed again and the need for Montesilvano and Spoltore to also be involved in our project.”

And regarding the anomalies in the counting operations, Costantini does not speak of fraud, but recalls the Campobasso case:

“Unfortunately, as also highlighted by the press on Monday – explains Costantini – many polling station presidents showed total unpreparedness in the application of split voting, we have findings in over ten sections, exactly as happened in Campobasso, where the problem is registered in all sections. Nobody is talking about electoral fraud, God forbid – explains Costantini – but if we consider that Masci avoided the run-off by just under 600 votes, making the most of the list votes and that there are dozens and dozens of separate votes considered null, I believe that an in-depth study is more than necessary. I know that the Electoral Commission is already at work, we will see what emerges.”
