The risks for OSS in the workplace, success of the Uil Fpl course

Cases of Social health workers forced to carry out operations and tasks that are not their responsibility, in public healthcare but above all in private healthcare, due to the lack of staff, both medical and nursing. A phenomenon that could be traced back to the abusive practice of the profession, particularly in those cases in which one then finds oneself facing a legal case for any reason. An emergency situation reported in recent days by Uil Fpl of Massa Carrara and for now it doesn’t seem to find a way out. Also for this reason the secretary, Claudio Salvadori, decided to organize a training course for OSS so as to inform and update socio-health workers on tasks, duties and rights and prepare them to face the various situations in which they may find themselves. A training day that attracted the attention of many local health workers who filled the training room of the Uil headquarters in Carrara. “After the multiple reports we have received – highlights Salvadori – on the risks deriving from practices that may constitute an abusive exercise of training, in addition to the general stress due to staff shortages, we decided that it was appropriate to update the situation. And ‘only the first of the various courses we are organizing for OSS as well as for nurses and other healthcare professionals, thanks to the organizational secretary Chiara Marsili, to inform them, train them and avoid unpleasant inconveniences that can turn into legal cases. I thank the secretary Marsili, for his precise intervention, and all the delegates who attended for their commitment. The workers need answers, clarity which we are trying to give.”
