One year after the tragic flood, a morning full of meaning in Ravenna. The Alighieri theater hosted the concert of the national band of the Fire Brigade, with the awarding of honorary citizenship to Carlo Dall’Oppio, currently Head of the National Fire Brigade and in the days of the flood Regional Director of the Fire Brigade for the ‘Emilia Romagna.
As the mayor Michele De Pascale: “The awarding of honorary citizenship to engineer Dall’Oppio is motivated by the great commitment, competence and responsibility he demonstrated in the management of the flood emergency that hit our territories last May, a period during which he was Regional Director of the Fire Brigade for Emilia Romagna. The Ravenna community does not forget the fundamental and precious work carried out by engineer Dall’Oppio and the entire Fire Brigade during the difficult days of the flood emergency, which hit our territory hard. This is a recognition that intends to concretely demonstrate the city’s profound gratitude for the exceptional contribution made during those terrible events. A symbolic thank you to the firefighters who, together with the other intervention forces and the Civil Protection, managed the flood emergency with great professionalism, commitment and self-denial, guaranteeing the safety of the community”.
