“Amarone in capital” returns to the Eternal City, the third edition of the glamorous event of the Valpolicella Wine Consortium scheduled for May 19th at the Hotel Hassler in Trinità dei Monti in Rome. Dedicated to horeca operators but also to wine enthusiasts of the main red denomination of the Veneto, “Amarone in capital” offers a program of tastings in a sensorial journey among the most iconic and expressive wines of Valpolicella.
“Rome is among the main Italian destinations for our top wines – comments the president of the Valpolicella Wine Consortium, Christian Marchesini – and in particular for Amarone which, in addition to representing a common thread between Verona and the capital, reflects the consolidated passion of the Romans for the great Veneto red. Amarone in Capitale is also a promotional initiative towards a fundamental channel such as that of restaurants, wine bars and wine bars that reflect the Dolce Vita”.
The “Amarone in Capitale” program opens on Sunday 19 May with a walk around tasting of Amarone and Valpolicella Superiore (non-stop from 10.00 to 21.00) for operators and the public at the starred Imàgo restaurant at Hassler. While at 11.00 and 14.00 two guided tastings will take place: “Valpolicella DOC Superiore: the stylistic avant-garde” (Sala Specchi at 11.00) and “Amarone and Recioto della Valpolicella DOCG: the cultural value at the root of the technique” (Sala Specchi, 2.00 pm), both hosted by the journalist Alessandro Brizi.
Also confirmed is the musical aperitif at sunset based on ‘fresh’ Valpolicella on the suggestive Penthouse Suite panoramic terrace on the 7th floor, open all day.
