Bad weather: yellow alert until tonight

The Civil Protection issued a warning yesterday yellow alert for thunderstorms and possible hydrogeological risksvalid from 4.00pm yesterday, Wednesday 15 May, until 12.00am today, Thursday 16 May 2024, throughout the provincial territory.

Moist southerly flows will influence the region through Thursday evening. Yesterday, Wednesday 15 May 2024, widespread, locally intense rainfall was expected, especially in the south-eastern sectors and in the evening, with possible thunderstorms.

By the early hours of today, Thursday 16 May 2024, average rainfall accumulations of 30-60 mm were expected, with local peaks exceeding 100 mm. A temporary decrease or cessation of rain was expected in the morning, but heavy showers and thunderstorms may occur in the afternoon and evening. Accumulations on Thursday will be patchy, but could exceed 40 mm in some areas.
