Falchera in Festa – A day of events
The events will start at 10:00 with workshops for families, markets, theatre, lunch and Sinoira snack.
We continue at 6.00 pm in Piazza Astengo, with the presentation, open to the public, of the XXII edition of the Lunathica International Street Theater Festival of which the program for the next edition will be illustrated.
At 7.30pm it will be the turn of the Neighbors’ Day, an event organized by the City of Turin and managed by the Falchera ODV Development Committee, which has been working for years in collaboration with other neighborhood associations, for the social good of the Falchera area. This event aims to strengthen the sense of community and mutual help, promoting good neighborly relations and strengthening the bonds of proximity and social solidarity.
It will go on stage at 9pm “The suitcase” essay from the theater workshop for boys and girls in Falchera elementary schools, conducted by Cristiano Falcomer and Salvatore Coscione. An initiative born from the collaboration between Lunathica and Damamar Association, organizer of the day Falchera in celebration. Damamar, operating in cultural, welfare, recreational and sporting activities, decided to integrate an educational laboratory that stimulated creativity and socialization into the fabric of its activities. Through this initiative, it continues its mission of promoting art and culture, stimulating the new generation and bringing value to the community.
Grand finale with Bilbobasso
Finally, at 10pm the eagerly awaited French fire and dance show Bilbobassoone of the most iconic and well-known companies of Lunathica programming of the last 20 years. “Each of their appearances on Lunathica’s programming has always been met with an extraordinary reception from the public – remember Cristiano Falcomerfounder and artistic director of the Festival – and on the occasion of the Festival’s “trespass” onto the territory of Turin, we wanted to bring a very spectacular title that would certainly resonate with the public”.
Love it is a show that involves and makes you fall in love with dance steps and effects of great visual impact. Two extraordinary dancer performers engaged in a suggestive and intense fusion of rock, swing and pyrotechnic effects, a strong contrast that expresses the essence of a passionate and at the same time explosive couple’s relationship. An explosion of emotions and sparks, between dance and music. A comedy, a fight, a duel. Ambivalent, crazy, playful, wild and tenacious.
The XXII edition of Festival Lunathica will take place from July 10th to 14th and in five days it will touch Cirié, Mathi, Nole, Fiano, Lanzo, Leinì and Villanova Canavese. The official program of the Festival will be released starting from May 26th. Free entry. Info lunathica.it
