THE EAGLE – IT IS Gianluca Strinella in person to welcome customers in the outdoor space of his restaurant, under a sky studded with red umbrellas, chosen in his new artistic installation, emblem and “shield” against abuse, intolerance but also meaning strength and will to resist.
A permanent artistic work that will be inaugurated in the next few days, but visible immediately, in Piazzetta del Sole in L’Aquila.
The owner of the Hysteria restaurant is no stranger to this type of initiative and every year he chooses and translates each of his initiatives or artistic performances into a direct message – inside the restaurant in winter and outside in the summer.
“This is art. Mine is the art of raising awareness – Strinella explains in a note – Red umbrellas symbolize protection from all kinds of violence, men’s violence against women in most cases”.
His installation is a “visual battle” which, together with that of many other red umbrellas in the world, cries out forcefully against any type of violence.
