Some granata ultras involved in the clashes during the Salernitana-Fiorentina football match have been identified
The Police Commissioner of Salerno has issued no. 5 DASPO measures – ban on access to sporting events – all with the obligation to sign, for as many Salernitana fans, responsible for the violent clashes that occurred between the Police Forces and rioters on the occasion of the “SALERNITANA – FIORENTINA” football match on 21.04. 2024.
Two hours before the start of the match, in the square in front of the stands of the Arechi Stadium, around 200 fans from Salerno, disguised, equipped with bottles, paper bombs, rods and blunt objects, gathered with the clear intention of coming into contact with the opposing fans and clashed with the officers present on site for 20 minutes.
The activity of the Judicial Police made it possible to identify the troublemakers: they will not be able to access the stadium for 10 years, the maximum allowed by law, PV aged 41, resident in Salerno with 5 DASPO provisions under his belt, the first issued in 2002; 47 year old PG resident in Salerno, also formerly DASPATO; VI, 42 years old, resident in Salerno; CV aged 26 residing in Mercato San Severino and VJ aged 26 residing in Baronissi. They were recognized as active participants in the clashes.
Further investigations are underway by the officers of the Salerno Police Headquarters to identify the other fans implicated in the clashes, in order to apply further DASPO measures.
