Rules regarding domestic leagues were last changed by FIFA in 2014. The American promoters, however, do not give up and have always tried to offer American fans something more than just pre-season exhibition matches involving the best club teams in the world. FIFA has instructed its yet-to-be-named working group to consider fairness and to give “advance notice to fans who may miss out on the opportunity to attend a home or away match on their home territory”.
We do not exclude that soon a Lecce match, which according to the calendar would have been hosted by Via Del Mare, will be played in Saudi Arabia or America.
