Grosseto. Controls, information campaigns and interventions for protect citizens’ health and fair competition with the many companies that carry out their activities in compliance with sector regulations.
This is what emerged from the working table that was established yesterday afternoon in the Prefecture, in which the leaders of the Police Force, the Maremma and Tyrrhenian Chamber of Commerce, the Prevention Department of the South East Tuscany Local Health Authority, as well as the representatives of Confcommercio, Confesercenti, Confartigianato Imprese, Cna.
The Table, which will meet periodically, intends to address the phenomenon of illegal construction through a common strategy of interventions between the police forces and trade associations. The objective is the protection of those who legally practice their profession, but also of the end user of “illegal” services, who are often not fully aware of the legal and health risks to which they are exposed by using these services.
The unanimous will of the subjects involved is the protection of those who operate correctly and the safety that operating legally is able to guarantee. In order to comply with sector regulations and ensure the health of consumers, professionals are subject to the constraints and prohibitions imposed by law, incurring costs that those who provide unqualified services cannot be tolerated. In this context, the protection of legality becomes protection of the local economy and people’s health.
Forms of institutional coordination will be initiated for constant monitoring of the phenomenon, compliance with the specific regulations in force and repression of illicit activities, also with the involvement of local mayors.
