management at Busitalia for the next 10 years

Busitalia Campania, a 100% Busitalia company (Passenger Hub of the FS Group) will manage local public transport services in Salerno and the Province of Naples for the next 10 years. The award was formalized by ACAMIR (Agency of the Campania Region).

The tender involving urban and extra-urban services in Salerno envisages an annual production of 28.5 million kilometres. The lot dedicated to the extra-urban services of the Province of Naples, however, has an annual production of 35 million kilometers which, overall, will be managed with a fleet of 1,390 buses.

“We are very satisfied with this important result which represents a further step forward in the growth of Busitalia in absolute coherence with what is foreseen in our Industrial Plan” he has declared Stefano BonoraCEO and General Manager of Busitalia.

With the two new concessions, Busitalia further expands its presence in Italy in the local public transport market. The company, which has already made investments to introduce new Euro 6 and electric buses, and has installed charging stations for electric vehicles at company depots, thus strengthens its commitment to reducing the environmental impact of its activities and promoting increasingly sustainable and quality mobility.
