ReBuild 2024, Aversa (Enea): “With the Rehouse project, low impact also on end users”

Riva del Garda, 15 May. – (Adnkronos) – “Our experience today leads to the Rehouse project, a Horizon Europe, carried out by multidisciplinary skills, in which the center of Brindisi, that of Bari and Bologna and some European partners are involved. It is a study lasting four years which sees all our experience put together through a construction chain of builders, designers, but in this case also of end users through the involvement of the population for the redevelopment of a public housing building”. Patrizia Aversa, Enea Technician, Brindisi Research Center, says this during her speech at the Panel “Materials: recovering the past, to innovate the future” as part of the tenth edition of ReBuild – Meeting the next built environment, the event dedicated to sustainable innovation of the built environment, taking place at the Riva del Garda Congress Center on 14 and 15 May 2024.

A panel that focused on the role of research centers in the construction sector, “the sector that must most respond to the call of the UN 2050 Agenda, that is, adapt to mitigate climate change with the emission of greenhouse gases” underlines Aversa who adds: “We are rediscovering materials from the past which however have innovations to look to the future. We’re talking about hemp, hemp, wool. Materials that must respond to criteria of energy efficiency, but also of comfort and healthiness within the inhabited area, of buildings and also materials that today must adapt to cultural changes, therefore also working in order of an economy circular of reuse and recycling and addressing a reticence in this sector which needs confirmation regarding the new materials to be used also in terms of behaviour, efficiency and durability”, specifies the Enea technician.
