Gela – The correction of the test forms for the V agone del Congiuntivo, the biennial Italian competition dedicated exclusively to the use of the subjunctive verbal mood, has been completed. The awards ceremony will take place on Friday 17 May, at 6 pm, in the “Falcone-Borsellino” auditorium (former Magistrale).
The competition, we remember, took place on the tenth anniversary of the foundation of the “spontaneous SOS Congiuntivo Committee” composed of the teacher Rosalba Occhipinti Lana (who created it in 2013), the school director Carmelo Guastella, the journalist Franco Infurna and the teachers Andrea Cassisi , Rosalba Occhipinti, Grazia Scuderi, Rita Spataro and Vanda Condorelli who organized it together with the IV “Luigi Capuana” educational circle, currently directed by the school director Maurizio Tedesco.
During the ceremony, presented by Alice Palumbo, the names of the 4 overall winners of the competition and the three schools that placed in first place for the result calculated on the average of the participants will be revealed. They come from the IV Luigi Capuana teaching circle (which competes for a distinct ranking), from the “Ettore Romagnoli”, “San Francesco”, “Don Bosco”, “Don Milani”, “Gela-Butera” and “Quasimodo” comprehensive institutes, from ‘Second level secondary education institutes and high schools “Vittorini”, “Eschilo”, Majorana”, “Morselli” and Sturzo” and by the private institute “Suor Teresa Valsè”.
The winning students will meet in May and will be rewarded with a total amount of 600 euros. This year the competition takes place with the support of the “Salvatore Zuppardo” Center for Christian Culture and Spirituality chaired by Andrea Cassisi and the following club services: Fidapa, Gela section chaired by Rita Spataro; Inner Wheel Club of Gela, chaired by Eugenia Romano; Lions Club Gela Environment Territory and Culture, chaired by Valentina Licata; Lions Club Butera and Terre Federiciane, chaired by Angela Testa; Lions Club Golfo di Gela, chaired by Alessandro Guarnera; Kiwanis Club of Gela, chaired by Francesco Di Silvestre; Rotary Club of Gela, chaired by Silvio Scichilone and Soroptmist Club of Gela, chaired by Laura Cannilla.
