The La Cocla Gardenhidden in the heart of the city of Forlì, opens to the public on May 18th and 19th for one two days of guided tours, meetings with experts and moments dedicated toobservation of biodiversity. The garden is one of the educational centers of the Ceas Parks Romagna and home to many activities dedicated to biodiversity and the care of common goods promoted by Ceas MAUSE Multicentre in Forlì.

Saturday 18 May
At 3.30pm, the information meeting “Flowers, bees, butterflies and bumblebees” promoted by Ceas Parks and Biodiversity Authority – Romagna, will focus on pollinating insects and the dissemination of good practices for their conservation, both in urban and forest environments. Today, these insects are threatened by habitat destruction, physical and chemical pollution, climate change and the spread of invasive alien species.

The event, which will be attended by numerous experts and researchers, will be full of interventions, examples of actions and ongoing projects for the protection of wild bees and other pollinators

It will follow at the end of the meeting a bioblitz in the gardento observe and recognize the pollinating insects that populate the La Cocla Garden, a flowery corner of the city.

To all participants it will also be the LIFE 4Oak Forests project postcard donatedenriched with seeds collected from the herb garden of Casola Valsenio (RA), to encourage the planting and diffusion of floral essences appreciated by pollinating insects.

Sunday 19 May
At 10:30, the meetingThe singing of birds in the garden and surroundingsdedicated to the birds that frequent our gardens, with the imitation of their song thanks to decoy tools.

At 3.30pm the “Nati per Leggere” volunteers will involve the little ones with themed readings immersed in the quiet of La Cócla

At 4pm and 5pm visitors will be able to take part in two guided tours organized by the Volunteer Ecological Guards of Forlì.
