There’s very little left until the big free event Radio Italia Live – The concert which this year in addition to being held in Piazza Duomo in Milan will land, for the first time, in Piazza del Plebiscito in Naples Thursday 27 June. In these hours the rain is causing concern for fans, but the concert will take place. It is not the first year that the event has been marred by storms.
The winner of the Sanremo Festival will arrive on the Milan stage, Angelina Mango and then Alessandra Amoroso, Annalisa, Emma, Gazzelle, Geolier, Ghali, Mahmood, The Kolors, Gianna Nannini, Noemi and Ultimo. The artists will perform accompanied by the Radio Italia Live Orchestra conducted by the maestro Bruno Santori. The concert will be live, from 8.40pm, simultaneously on the Radio Italia channels and on the radio, then Sky Uno, streaming on Now and free-to-air on TV8.
Luca and Paolo will no longer be hosting but the voices of the radio: Giuditta Arecco, Daniela Cappelletti, Marco Falivelli, Mauro Marino, Manola Moslehi and Paoletta. From the “Terrazza Radio Italia” Luca Ward will introduce all the artists live, with special connections to the main stage also planned. The owner of the radio Mario Volanti underlined: “This year too we have tried something new, both in terms of the set-up and the management, even if the absolute protagonists remain the music and the involvement”. The opening theme of Radio Italia Live – Il Concerto, in a renewed version, will be performed live as usual from Saturninus.
She spoke at the Milan press conference Emma: “It’s always a great emotion and an honor to participate in this show that gives music back its importance. Having the chance to perform live with an orchestra is a wonderful thing. Quality is also an important element when making art and communication and it is a wonderful message to send: there is a lot of work and sacrifice behind this show, which are repaid by the warmth of the public in the square”.
