Puglia at the center of the debate

BARI – Puglia is at the center of a lively debate regarding the future of cities and demographic decline, with a focus on the changing housing needs of new families. These current issues will be at the center of the conference organized by the Italian Federation of Professional Real Estate Agents (FIAIP) Puglia, in collaboration with ANCE Puglia and the University of Bari. The event, entitled “The future of the real estate market in Puglia”, will be held Friday 24 May at the Nicolaus Hotel in Bari.

The meeting will be an opportunity to discuss with many voices, with reports and debates between real estate professionals, representatives of the construction sector and university experts on demographic and social matters.

The population of Puglia is undergoing significant changes, with an increase in youth emigration, a decrease in the birth rate and a growing number of elderly people. FIAIP intends to offer moments of in-depth analysis and analysis on this evolving scenario, which have already begun with the Observatory on the real estate market in Puglia.

During the conference, experts of the caliber of Prof. Roberta Pace, professor of Demography at the University of Bari, will speak about “Current demographic dynamics and changes in family structures in Puglia”. Prof. Francesca Calace, professor of Urban Planning at the Polytechnic of Bari, will discuss “The city of the future”. Furthermore, Mario Breglia, president of the “Scenari Immobiliari” Institute of Studies and Research, will address the topic of “New questions and new markets”, while Eng. Nicola Bonerba, vice president of ANCE, will present the point of view of construction companies.

Before the debate between all the speakers, the national president of FIAIP, Gian Battista Baccarini, will intervene and discuss the “Role of the real estate agent in a changing society”.

During the day, data, information and perspectives on the regional real estate market will be provided, with particular attention to the growth of B&Bs and accommodation intended for short-term rentals, linked to the development of Apulian tourism.

“We relaunch our commitment to the regional territory and the valorization of our profession”, comments the president of FIAIP Puglia, Agata Contursi. “The professional real estate agent is a guarantee of reliability and correctness in the procedures for buying and selling a house. In this period of demographic changes, it is increasingly important to protect and preserve the real estate sector”.
