The presentation of Mediterraneamente was held at the V Circolo Didattico of Strasatti. Present were the school director Vita D’Amico, the mayor of Marsala Massimo Grillo and several collaborators who intervened to illustrate the project. As D’Amico says “… the event “The Zecchino d’oro of Marsala” it is only the final stage of a project, financed by SIAE as part of the “For those who create” program, to promote books and reading; through the pages of a digital book, the children of the 5th Circle will entrust their postcards of dialogue and peace to the sea”.

The project sees the Otium social library, the Mondadori bookshop, the “Il Circoletto” creative laboratory and the Il Glifo publishing house in partnership. The trip to the Mediterranean will thus be preceded by a journey through books, with the participation of authors such as Francesca Parmigiani, Jaroslaw Mikolajewski, Gabriele Cracolici, Nadia Terranova, Sergio Olivotti, Matilde Sciarrino. The first edition will be held on May 20th at 6pm at the Teatro Impero in Marsala, a singing festival for children with the songs of the Zecchino d’Oro. As many as 45 children from the V Circolo, plus 11 students from the city’s comprehensive schools directed by the music teacher Rosanna Angileri assisted by the teacher Simona Giacalone, will perform 10 songs, each linked to a country in the Mediterranean area and introduced by a video postcard created by the different classes.
