The Cus Parma Rossonere Tournament

The fields of the “Silvio D’Arzo” sports center were packed on Sunday afternoon to attend the first edition of the “Giglio–Provincia Granata” Tournament, a women’s football event organized by Ac Reggiana in collaboration with Us Montecchio. Four youth women’s football teams from the provinces of Parma, Piacenza and Reggio competed on the synthetic turf: an afternoon of competitions full of technical ideas and great fun. Speaking exclusively of the sporting result, the event was won by the Rossonere of Cus Parma, who did well to prevail in the final against the host Montecchio. In the final for the podium, however, Reggiana (in the photo) beat Besurica – Academy Piacenza on penalties. Without a doubt, however, the great note of merit goes to the Montecchio girls who, despite playing under age, showed great courage and ability, even causing problems for the strong Parma team in the final.

At the end of the day, after the third time kindly offered by the main sponsors of the event, Giglio and Righi Food, all the athletes involved were rewarded with a celebratory medal. In addition to the president of the women’s sector of Reggiana Francesco Criscuolo and the communications manager of the Granata club Alessandro Marconi, the awards were also presented by the vice president of Montecchio Calcio, Giordano Colli and the sports councilor of the municipality of Val d’Enza, the lawyer Stefano Ferri.

The latter reiterated, like the representatives of Reggiana, the beauty of a day like the one spent at the “D’Arzo” and the importance of an event of this type. .
