The next event of the International Festival of Different Abilities 2024 will be a theatrical show: on Saturday 18 May, at the Teatro Comunale di Carpi, at 9.00 pm “The White Whale” will be staged, a new theatrical production, based on Melville’s masterpiece novel, Moby Dick. The comedy is performed by the Manolibera integrated theater company of the Nazareno social cooperatives. “The spectator – assure the organizers of the theatrical event – will experience a journey on the sea and inside the human heart. While the whale is chased away from Captain Ahab’s Pequod ship, the drama of the biblical story of Jonah takes place in the minds of the sailors , trapped in the belly of another whale: in the hollow of an abyss that surrounds everyone, the two whales are the symbol of the mysterious Destiny to be fought or accepted”.
The text, adapted and edited by Giampiero Pizzoldirected by Vittorio Possenti will be interpreted by: Andrea Allegretti, Stefano Belloni, Marco Benatti, Massimo Cristoni, Luca Fontana, Sebastiano Franco, Luciano Morselli, Alessandra Pantaleoni, Cristina Papotti, Noemi Petrazzuolo, Roberto R, ebecchi, Luca Tavernelli, Ilva Ugolini, Daniele Verrini And Karen Travel. The theatrical text is accompanied by music by: Manuela Turrini (accordion), Alessandra Simoncini (voice), Valerio Venturi (guitar) e Vincenzo Pettoni Possenti (sound effects).
