An afternoon entirely dedicated to the passion for football with two events in one dedicated to the mythical figures of the captains. Tuesday 28 May, at 5pm, in the hall dedicated to Carlo de Gaudiowhere among hundreds of trophies the glorious Circolo Canottieri Napoli lives its most evocative moments, here on the stage are the unforgettable figures of the leaders who made millions of fans fall in love with Naples and the great Italian clubs described in the book “Captains forever” Of Gianfranco Coppola. Exciting stories that will touch hearts and which will be enhanced with the first edition of the “Captains forever” Award which takes inspiration from the history of the legendary Antonio Juliano, a tribute dedicated to the memory of the great Italian footballer, an unforgettable captain, who recently passed away. The award, promoted by the FIGC – National Amateur League of Campania and the Ussi Campania Group Felice Scandone will feature two historic Azzurri players who have written immense pages in the history of Napoli and Italian football: Giuseppe Bruscolottiheir of Juliano, e Ciro Ferrara, who was also a leading player in Club Italia for a long time. To enhance the figure of the captain, a symbolic element in every team of any discipline, captains of amateur and youth football from Campania will also be rewarded.

The book “Captains forever” by Coppola, published by LeVarie, similarly represents an act of love towards football and towards those wonderful leaders of yesterday and today, who gave emotions and passion to fans all over the world. The volume contains the preface of the writer and scientific communicator Marino Niola and is enriched by the prestigious collaboration of important names in Italian journalism, with the patronage of the Italian Footballers’ Association. The legendary Panini stickers, together with photos of Pietro Mosca, embellish in images a one-of-a-kind volume. “Captains forever”, like the previous book Champions forever by Coppola and published by LeVarie, will support with its proceeds the solidarity projects of the In Name of Vita Onlus Foundation and of Casa di Tonia, desired by the Archbishop Emeritus of Naples, the Cardinal Crescenzio Sepe.
