“Lapo Pasquetti, representative of the Green Alliance – Left and socialist party supporter of Andrea Virgilio mayor, is blinded by the fear of losing the local elections. This is why he can hardly read the Italian language and accuses the center-right of wanting to “abolish the current ZTL to bring Cremona back to the 1950s with cars in the centre”. For his benefit but above all for the benefit of the citizens of Cremona, here is what is literally written in the centre-right programme: “Review the limits and areas dedicated to the ZTL with different regulations agreed within a table in which representatives will sit of the Municipality, of the economic categories and of the residents’ So no abolition or cancellation, just an agreed revision: the Italian language is very clear and self-evident. Frankly, we are really fed up with this left that continues to spread fake news every day and trigger sterile controversies in a desperate attempt to distract the people of Cremona from the desolation in which the center-left has left the city in these last 10 years of bad government”. This was declared by Alessandro Portesani, centre-right candidate for the office of mayor of Cremona in response to Lapo Pasquetti’s statements regarding the ZTL in the city centre.
