Marche churches, 2 million euros transferred for progress of works –

The Extraordinary Commissioner of the Government for the reconstruction in the territories affected by the seismic events of 2016 has ordered the transfer of 60% of the resources foreseen in favor of three dioceses of the Marche. The resources assigned, equal to approximately 2 million euros, are programmed by Ordinance 105 for the simplification of the reconstruction of places of worship and are intended for the reconstruction and seismic improvement of various churches in the dioceses of Ascoli Piceno and San Benedetto del Tronto. Ripatransone-Montalto and in the Archdiocese of Camerino-San Severino Marche.

“Joint work continues with the Region, the Dioceses and the Special Reconstruction Office to accelerate the reconstruction and seismic improvement works of important religious buildings in the area damaged by the earthquake – explains the 2016 earthquake commissioner structure -. These decrees mark a further step in the church reconstruction program. In fact, they are all works for which the Dioceses have stipulated a contract for the execution of the works. The objective is to guarantee the structural safety of these places of worship, so as to return them fully safe and accessible to local communities as soon as possible.”

For the Diocese of Ascoli Piceno, 617 thousand euros were transferred as follows: Santa Maria delle Piane, Acquasanta Terme (226 thousand euros out of 376 thousand total), Madonna del Ponte, Ascoli Piceno (134 thousand euros out of 224 thousand total), San Tommaso, Ascoli Piceno (160 thousand euros out of 400 thousand total), Santa Giusta, Ascoli Piceno (96 thousand euros out of 160 thousand total).

For the Archdiocese of Camerino-San Severino Marche, 777 thousand euros were transferred for the intervention in Santa Barbara, Castelraimondo (777 thousand euros out of a total of 1.3 million).

For the Diocese of San Benedetto del Tronto-Ripatransone-Montalto, 688 thousand euros were transferred as follows: Madonna delle Grazie, Cossignano (90 thousand euros out of 150 thousand total), Santa Maria in Camurano, Montelparo (217 thousand euros out of 362 thousand total), Concattedrale Santa Maria Assunta, Montalto delle Marche (380 thousand euros out of 634 thousand total).
