School, culture, tradition, sport and territory: these are the key words that describe the “Schoolimpiadi – The class is up for grabs” project, now in its second edition. The initiative, promoted by ECO.Sistemi di people, Polisportiva San Giacomo and Piuma Event, involves 3675 children and young people from the primary and lower secondary schools of Novara, comes to life with the preliminary phases and the first neighborhood finalists who are shaping up in recent weeks until the two finals on May 22nd in the Broletto courtyard and May 23rd at the Patti stadium.

Divided according to the neighborhoods they belong to, the participating schools responded enthusiastically to this city prize, in which students engaged in games selected based on class and age, ranging from the more traditional rock-paper-scissors-game of the breaststroke, up to the recycling relay and the Nuares Par Dabòn prize. Furthermore, also in this new edition, performance art will be given prominence thanks to the collaboration of associations and professionals of the city, who will prepare the participating schools for the exhibition scheduled for the final on May 24th at 8pm at the San Martino shopping centre, competing to the artistic prize named in memory of the Novara journalist Gigi Santoro.

The precious collaboration of Raccontiamo Novara and the Associazione Culturale Novarese odv was also renewed, which during weekly meetings trained the grandparents who shared their knowledge and memories together, as well as informing the secondary school children for the quiz. Novara Green returns among the partners of the second edition and is among the promoters of Schoolimpiadi, with a special test designed specifically for the event.

The synergy with the Casorati artistic high school is confirmed with the trophies that will be awarded during the final. Partner Mets Percorsi d’arte which, thanks to the presence of Paolo Tacchini on the jury for the awarding of the artistic prize, has thought of a special prize to be awarded to the class that presents the most creative show: these children will in fact have the opportunity to visit the next autumn exhibition organized by Mets. The Re Biscottino Onlus Association will also participate and the CST has given its contribution.
