The Osteria dei Peccatori pays homage to the Palio di Legnano with cutlets dedicated to the eight districts: the 2024 menu

It’s May and althe Osteria dei Peccatori in Legnano are back by popular demand “The cutlets dedicated to the Palio“. Also this year on the menu you can find the elephant’s ear from your favorite district seasoned with selected ingredients to offer the best in quality and taste. Eight special dishes, just as special are the districts of the Palio di Legnano which color and enliven the whole city.

The idea, much appreciated not only by the people of the Contrada, isarchaeo-chef Marco Colombo who runs the cutlet shop together with wife Valeria Alcaini: «It seemed to us an original way to pay homage to all the districts and this beautiful tradition», explain the two owners. Having arrived from outside Legnano to start the restaurant business, they were particularly impressed by the world of the Palio which makes the city of the Carroccio unique: «We have already sponsored a dinner and we are available to collaborate with all the districts that would like to organize events to enhance the cutlet and our specialties of Lombard cuisine. We realize the liveliness that the districts bring to the area and, remaining neutral, we would like to be part of this beautiful reality. Legnano welcomed us well and in turn we would like to consolidate our presence in the city”

Compared to last year on the menu Some changes have been made: «We have chosen combinations with ingredients already tested and appreciated from our customers with some slightly different dressing. The variations are always proposed based on the seasonality of the raw materials, to which we pay maximum attention, choosing the best for our customers. The carefully studied menu – underlines chef Marco Colombo – follows that of the Capital Vices (on the menu the rest of the year) and instead of the captions the cutlets dedicated to the Palio are accompanied by the motto of the eight districts, to enhance and make their history known.”

THE RISOTTS

Another strong point of the Osteria dei Peccatori is the risotto in its most delicious variations. The base is always the Milanese risotto, the classic one cooked according to grandmother’s tradition, which can be seasoned with different ingredients that always change according to the season to offer fresh, quality products that meet the tastes of the customers.
