Natalia Osipova at the Comunale di Modena – Dance&Dance

MODENA It ends on May 28, 2024 the Dance Season at the Municipal Theater of Modena with Natalia Osipova in an evening entitled Force of Nature, which embodies it fully. The evening’s program includes choreographies from the classical repertoire and fascinating contemporary pieces.

Acclaimed throughout the world as one of the greatest dancers of her generation, Natalia Osipova will be the protagonist of an evening of solos and duets unparalleled in virtuosity and beauty. Exciting, eclectic and engaging, the program offers a show for everyone and a showcase that showcases the characteristics of Natalia Osipova and her extraordinary versatility in terms of technique and style.

The show presents choreographies signed by the great names of dance, between past and present, such as Marius Petipa, Jason Kittelberger, Shahar Binyamini, Pawel Glukhov, Alexey Ratmansky, Frederick Ashton and Michael Fokine. There will be no shortage of famous pieces from classical ballet, from Death of the Swanto music by Camille Saint-Saëns at the pas de deux from The White Swan from Swan Lake to music by Tchaikovsky. Some of the best dancers will perform alongside Natalia Osipova Reece Clarke, Principal dancer of the Royal Ballet, Daria Pavlenko, Prima ballerina of the Mariinsky Theater, Joseph Kudra, Principal dancer of the Rambert Theater in London and dancer and choreographer Jason Kittelberger.

Formerly prima ballerina of the Bolshoi Theater in Moscow, in 2013 Natalia Osipova became Principal dancer of the Royal Ballet in London after her success in the title role of Swan Lake alongside Carlos Acosta. She regularly appears as a guest artist in companies around the world, as well as starring in her own productions in which she presents classical and contemporary pieces, some commissioned and choreographed for her by authors such as Alexei Ratmansky, AkramKhan, Sidi Larbi, Arthur Pita and Iván Pérez. Her honors include multiple Critics’ Circle National Dance Awards and the Benois de la Danse. In 2019 she was the protagonist of the documentary film dedicated to her by the title Force of Nature, an unprecedented look at the working life of one of the world’s greatest artists. In 2022 he founded the Bloom Dance Project: an independent production company created to share the best of his repertoire and to create new works characterized by an original union between dancers and creative team, as well as to promote the art of dance through world tours to a wider audience.
