After a long absence lasting 7 years, the most glamorous dinner of the summer returns to Udine. “Di Punto in Bianco”, the event organized since the first edition by the Emporio ADV agency, this year will have the support of the Municipality of Udine and Promoturismo FVG, within the framework of the Udine “White Night”.
WHEN. Udine is therefore preparing to be “dressed in white” again. The seventh edition of the flash mob was scheduled for July 6th, which every year made the city dream, with lots of fun, imagination, and the desire to be together in a refined and engaging way.
The formula, which has fascinated over 20,000 enthusiastic participants over the years, is always the same: a secret location, a last-second message, families and groups of friends who rush on site to set up the most beautiful table of a magical evening , when the buildings and cobblestones become the setting for a cinema picnic.
The first edition saw Piazza San Giacomo come alive in 2012 with 670 participants. The second edition, in 2013, filled Via Mercatovecchio with 1,500 people, the third year 3,800 guests painted Piazza Duomo white. The record still belongs to Via Aquileia, with 5,300 registered participants and in the last edition, 2016, Viale Venezia – from Piazzale D’Annunzio to Viale Firenze – managed to welcome 4,904 participants.
REGISTRATIONS. To participate, simply sign up and log in to the site www.dipuntoinbianco.it starting from 12 today and register your table. The location will remain secret until the day of the event. The only condition to participate in the initiative: total white look and accessories.
HOW DOES IT WORK. Di Punto in Bianco is an event that involved all the capitals of the world. The idea is simple and winning because it leaves the initiative to the participants who feel they are the authors and protagonists of a film that they themselves make. A moment of sharing that truly conquers everyone: very young people, families, couples and groups of friends who, for an evening, have perfect strangers as table neighbors. The leitmotif, as always, is white: clothes, tables, chairs, mise en place and decorations. Over the years we have seen all types: from banquets on tricliniums to original stilt houses, from laid tables worthy of the palace of Windsor to the basket carried by hand by mother and daughter, for a picnic for two. Sailor uniforms, wedding dresses, good witches, sultan caftans: at Di Punto in Bianco we are constantly surprised. The important thing is to share a special moment with others and then leave everything in order as you found it, just like in a dream.
The administration of Udine underlines how the event is now a city tradition, to be recovered and valorised by relaunching a different way of experiencing the city and meeting in a context of harmony and healthy socialisation. The dinner will be one of the events connected to the “White Night”.
