The Region relaunches its commitment to the right to housing. The Regional Council has allocated further 10 million euros For extraordinary maintenance interventions on public residential buildings (Erp).

The provision, addressed to Municipalities and Unions of Municipalitiesaims to recover public housing, currently empty and unassignable, which will have to be redeveloped and allocated, by 2025, to families registered in the rankings.

It’s about 3,818 ERP accommodations which were vacant at the end of last year out of the 54,257 available, while the overall applications in the ranking awaiting assignment are 26,681 (again with reference to 31/12/2023).

The issue of the housing emergency is of great social importance and requires rapid and coordinated solutions, with the aim of expanding the number of homes available for families in difficulty. The planned interventions go in the direction of redeveloping the ERP accommodations which are currently not assignable because they are worn out over time and do not comply with the law.

With this further intervention it thus rises to 40 million euros the ceiling of resources allocated by the Region from 2020 to today for building maintenance Erp.

The measure finances works, with particular attention to energy requalification, for amounts ranging between 5 thousand hey 25 thousand euros for each apartment, with capital contributions covering up to 100% of the works.

Assignments by province

These are the allocations by Province: 663,699 euros in Piacenza; 934,280 in Parma; 1,019,804 euros in Reggio Emilia1,032,667 in Modenese; 2,244,732 euros in meat sauce; 1,639,626 euros in from Ferrara; 893,111 euros in Ravenna931,852 in Forlì-Cesenate; 640,228 in from Rimini.

The distribution by province was based on criteria such as the resident population, the number of unassigned vacant homes and the number of applications in the ranking.

The Municipalities or Unions of Municipalities will then identify, within the scope of the Housing policy consultation tablethe eligible interventions which will be transmitted to the Region via the territorially competent Acer.
