CERIGNOLA – They eluded the police and tried to escape against traffic, ramming another police car that had intervened. It happened the other evening on the outskirts of Cerignolain Foggiano, on state road 16: two police officers were injured.
THE policemen were treated at the emergency roomTatarella hospital for wounds and injuries judged to heal in 15 days.
These are the facts. During some checks, a police patrol ordered a car to stop which appeared to be stolen. The driver of the vehicle did not stop at the checkpoint but took the main road the wrong way. A chase ensued, until the fleeing car rammed another police car that had come to the aid of colleagues.
The stolen vehicle was found a few hours later in the countryside of San Ferdinand Of Puglia in the Bat.
