The Davis Cup is about to arrive in Calabria. In the week following the Internazionali Bnl d’Italia, in fact, the trophy won by the Azzurri will stop in Cosenza and Reggio Calabria.
The program of the Trophy tour, wanted by the Italian Tennis and Padel Federation after the triumph in Malaga last November, has, in fact, also been defined in Calabria. For tennis enthusiasts, therefore, the opportunity to see the imposing and fascinating silver salad bowl up close, take a photo with the trophy that has been missing from Italy since 1976 and relive the extraordinary moments of Malaga.
The first stop will be Cosenza. On Wednesday 22nd, from 10 am, the Davis Cup will be on display at Palazzo dei Bruzi.
At the beginning, a meeting will be held in which representatives of the institutions and the world of tennis will take part. Subsequently the salad bowl will remain in the municipal headquarters until 8pm.
The following day, Thursday 23 May, the same script starting from 11am. However, the location will change with Davis moving to the Chiappetta Sport Village in Rende and will remain available to fans, also in this case, until 8pm.
Three days later the Trophy tour of the world champions will move to Reggio Calabria. On the morning of Sunday 26th the Davis will be exhibited at Palazzo San Giorgio.
The following day the salad bowl will move to the “Rocco Polimeni tennis club”.
