Florence, Ditta Artigianale opens a new coffee bar inside the San Lorenzo market

10 years after the opening of the first restaurant, in via dei Neri, Artisan company a new small café opens on the ground floor of the historic San Lorenzo market in Florence (Station 101), among the ancient food shops and fruit and vegetable stalls, where Florentines still meet today for everyday shopping.

A space open to the community where it will be possible to sip a good coffee, stop for a quick lunch, or taste the desserts prepared in the Ditta Artigianale bakery, a laboratory that draws inspiration from the French and Northern European pastry school, with North American influence, giving it an Italian and Florentine touch.

«Today we realize a dream, that of entering a place that is symbolic of Florentine local life – he explains Francesco Sanapo, founder together with Patrick Hoffer of Ditta Artigianale. – It is a great honor for a young company like ours to be able to become part of a place rich in history and tradition like the Historic Central Market, which represents one of the most authentic and representative places in the city. One year after the opening of Ditta Ferrucci we could only choose the historic city market of San Lorenzo to open a new garrison and continue our love story with Florence.”

The environment of Ditta Artigianale in the historic San Lorenzo market consists of a kiosk open every day, from 7.30am to 3pm, where the classic offer of specialty coffees is accompanied by a selection of sweet and savory dishes. Among the most interesting innovations is the “AVO Bar” format, a corner dedicated to Ditta Artigianale’s most popular dish: avocado toast, which will be at the center of the menu offered for lunch.

10 years after the inauguration of the first restaurant in via dei Neri 32/R, after the openings in via dello Sprone, via Carducci, Lungarno Soderini and in piazza Ferrucci, the growth of Ditta Artigianale continues, which in two years has doubled the number of employees, radding the 130 people today. Of these, half are women, while the average age is less than 35 years.
