The Article 31 copy signing at the Campania Shopping Center was canceled after the collapse of the false ceiling on Saturday evening.

The Articolo 31 event at the Campania Shopping Center has been cancelled and postponed to a later date: we will have to wait for the release of the area where the false ceiling collapsed which frightened the few present at that moment in the food area of the center of Marcianise. The cancellation of the copy signing, scheduled for 5.30pm tomorrow, was made known at the end of some meetings held this morning, which ultimately saw the only solution being to move the event to a later date, since the point where the collapse occurred is precisely the central square where everything should have happened.

It all started on the evening of Saturday 11 May, when suddenly the false ceiling came down at the point where “Piazza Campania” is located, near the food area of the center and where the Articolo 31 fans were supposed to gather on the day of Tuesday 14 May for the expected signs copies. No one was injured, even during the night, but some restaurants, including a well-known ice cream shop, had to temporarily close while waiting for the area to be restored and, above all, for the police to release it from seizure. Precisely this timing does not suggest imminent reopening: the area is cordoned off and placed under seizure, awaiting further findings useful for the investigations. It is now hoped to recover the date of the event within a month, although at the moment the Shopping Center has not said anything about possible dates, but has assured that it is doing everything possible to ensure that the situation can be resolved.
