Livorno, 13 May 2024 – Returns Sunday 19 May there Castellaccio time trial “Luciano Martelli Trophy”, a classic of city running. The event, which has reached this year’s 33rd editionis organized byLivorno Marathon Association in collaboration with the running group “Sempre di corsa Livorno” and with the municipal social center “Fabrizio Gioli”.
It is a competitive individual time trial running race, starting from Piazza delle Carrozze (Montenero Basso) and covering a distance of km. 4.4 to the top of Castellaccio. “An extraordinary journey – we read in the event flyer – where everything is a spectacle”.
The competition, in which adult and registered Italian and foreign athletes can participate, is valid as a test for the 2024 Tuscan running criterium.
One is also planned non-competitive participation open to all walkers (also Nordic walking).
For the non-competitive event, the start is scheduled from Piazza delle Carrozze at 8.30 am, while the competitive event will start at 9 am, again from Piazza delle Carrozze, with the start of the first competitor. Then, every 20 seconds, the next competitors will start, in order of age (from oldest to youngest).
The participation fee is 10 euros (including race package) for the competitive race, 5 euros (including gadgets) for the non-competitive one.
The registrations can be done by sending an email to [email protected] by 2pm on Friday 17 May, with payment of the fee upon collection of the bib and chip. You can also register on Sunday morning by 8.30 am. Those registered in the morning will start in the queue. The free race pack can be collected at the end of the race, upon returning the chip.
