Giro d’Italia in the Marche, when and where it passes: finish lines and times

Fano, 13 May 2024 – They will have a single stage but in a few days the Marche they will be great protagonists at the Tour of Italy with a stage that could reveal surprises in the last km. Thursday 16 May, it is fraction number 12 that brings the Rosa caravan to Martinsicuro until the finish line of Fano asking the runners to face 193 km full of small ups and downs that could give rise to some breakaways. Given how the Giro d’Italia is going, one could dare to say that there is no prospect of a breakaway with a large margin behind it but, as has already happened, something could not go according to plan and cause the escapees to arrive. The other scenario that opens up, however, is that the group in view of the finish line can become compact again given that the last tooth is 10 km from the finish line, and therefore complete a sprint. But watch out for those who have particularly good legs because it is precisely that small last climb that could entice some shots from those with good legs and hunger for victory. A stage therefore unpredictable in its finale but which will certainly make the heart beat. A stage that touches some of the places that were protagonists of the Tirreno – Adriatico, which greets the great poet Leopardi and which returns to Fano remembering the past with the success of Tonucci from Fano, the sprints of Cavendish, or, even further back in time, Balmamion.
