AGI – The week of May will see a worsening of weather conditions in Italy, but not for everyone. High pressure subsiding over the Mediterranean with a downward circulation from the British Isles towards Western Europe. Humid currents will hit Northern Italy in the next few days, resulting in a phase of bad weather with clouds associated with rain and thunderstorms for several days. More sporadic phenomena in the Centre-South where we will still have passing clouds and the possibility of afternoon showers and thunderstorms developing in the internal sectors. In the second half of the week the latest updates from the Italian Weather Center show a rise of very mild air towards Southern Italy. While the bad weather will continue in the North, in the South temperatures could rise up to 10 degrees above average.

North
Cloudy skies in the morning over all regions with scattered rain, drier between Liguria and Emilia Romagna. In the afternoon showers and thunderstorms especially in the Alps and Apennines, with local spills onto the plains. In the evening still cloudy skies with scattered rain, which will end by the night.
In the center
In the morning irregular clouds passing through but with dry weather. In the afternoon showers and thunderstorms developing in the Apennines, dry variability elsewhere. In the evening there will still be residual rain in inland areas, drier during the night.
In the South and on the Islands
Dry weather conditions both in the morning and in the afternoon in the southern regions with clear or partly cloudy skies. Isolated and brief showers not excluded on the internal reliefs. Increasing cloudiness in the evening and night. Minimum temperatures generally increase, maximum temperatures decrease in the Centre-North and stable or slightly rising in the South and on the Major Islands.
