After seven months of closure due to renovation works, it reopens in Greek’s tower the park Subject to purchase. Yesterday afternoon the park was populated again with many citizens who did not want to miss the reopening. The mayor was also present Luigi Mennella and the councillor Valentina Ascione. Lots of smiles for the young people present who once again have an outdoor area to play, with rides, slides and lots of greenery.

This is the official statement published today by the municipality of Greek’s tower: “The D’Acquisto park reopens today – councilor Valentina Ascione tells us – and the city, after a long wait, can finally enjoy the greenery and the renewed carousels. Many children have been waiting for this moment and we are happy to give this space back to the city. We are only sorry for the extra months it took but it was necessary for the many situations that brought us to May. We have given another villa back to Torre del Greco – the words of the mayor – giving it a new dignity. I entered this site where you couldn’t even see the avenues anymore, the trees were in bad shape, the bathrooms were unlivable. Today I already see many children playing and I see happy mothers. However, I make an appeal to the city: this further villa belongs to the city, but we must know how to keep it. It’s true we definitely need to put in place surveillance but it’s not a problem of surveillance, it’s a problem of culture and mentality. We must be good at conveying to everyone that the villas, parks and everything that belongs to the community belongs to everyone, as if it were our home. We must love our city, we are working and we want Torre del Greco to become the capital city of Campania again.”
