SITUATION 7.30 AM. The anticyclone is gradually declining and is allowing infiltrations of humid and unstable currents from the west which have already given rise to the appearance of showers and thunderstorms scattered across the northern regions, which began yesterday evening and continued into the night, locally strong in the Northwest . The most significant phenomena continue at dawn today between upper Piedmont and western Lombardywith the involvement also of the western sectors of Emilia, and rainfall accumulations which in 24 hours reach 50mm in the upper Turin and Biella areas. Other showers linger at dawn in Veneto and Friuli VG, mainly affecting the Belluno area. However, nothing has happened in the rest of Italy, which up to now has been protected by the anticyclone. WEATHER FOR THE NEXT HOURS. To the North some showers in the morning especially near the Alps and on the high plains, during the day some thunderstorms form especially between the Alps and central-western areas of the Po Valley, however alternating with sunny spells. In the evening showers between Piedmont and western Lombardy. Drier in the lower Po Valley, Liguria and Veneto with clear spells at times. To the Center large clearings in the morning except for thickening in upper Tuscany. During the day some instability is forming along the Apennines, locally encroaching on the internal Adriatic areas by the evening. Sunnier and drier conditions remain along the coasts, both Tyrrhenian and Adriatic. To the South initially sunny, in the afternoon some instability forming along the Apennines with more frequent rain and some thunderstorms between Campania, Molise and upper Puglia, easing in the evening.
