CATANIA – Black smoke at the fifth commission of the CSM for the appointment of the new prosecutor of Catania. The session of 9 May did not produce any proposals in this regard. On the other hand, the commission for the conferral of managerial and semi-managerial positions approved other proposals.

Among the reasons for the postponement, there is also the complexity of the other proposals put forward at the plenum, which are also particularly important.
The outcome of the commission
In detail, the self-governing body of the robes has approved the proposals for two section presidents of the Supreme Court; for the section president of the criminal sector of the Court of Naples North; and for a president of the criminal section of the Court of Appeal of Reggio Calabria.
To have applied to take the place of Carmelo Zuccaronow general prosecutor, are three deputy prosecutors of Catania, Sebastiano Ardita, Ignazio Fonzo and Francesco Puleiotwo deputy prosecutors of Palermo, Paolo Guido and Marzia Sabella.
There is also the prosecutor of Potenza Francesco Curcio and the general prosecutors of Reggio Calabria, Gerardo Dominijanniand Lecce, Antonio Maruccia. The spotlight will therefore remain focused on the fifth commission of the CSM. The times, moreover, in these cases are never peremptory.

It should be remembered that the commission puts forward its proposal, but that the plenum of the CSM will then decide.
