Municipal elections, there are six candidates for mayor of Prato

There are six candidates who will run for the office of mayor of Prato in the local elections on 8 and 9 June.

The deadline for submitting the lists with the signatures collected to be deposited in the Prefecture expired last Saturday. Ilaria Bugetti (centre-left), Gianni Cenni (centre-right), Mario Daneri (Prato Merita), Jonathan Targetti (Targettopoli list), Paola Battaglieri (Alternativa Beni Comuni-Rifondazione Comunista) and Mirko Castellani (Italian Communist Party) were admitted.

Nothing to do for Simona Casadei (Animal Rights Party), Emilio Paradiso (Allies for Prato) and Guido Bisori (Christians United for Prato) who did not reach the minimum limit of necessary signatures, i.e. 350.

The order of appearance on the ballot paper that voters will receive on 8 and 9 June during the election round has also been drawn. Ilaria Bugetti was drawn first, followed by Mario Daneri, Mirko Castellani, Jonathan Targetti, Paola Battaglieri and Gianni Cenni. As regards the lists, the order of the centre-left coalition that supports Bugetti’s candidacy is Sinistra united Prato with Bugetti, then Movimento 5 Stelle, +Europa, civic list Ilaria Bugetti – La forza del noi, Pd and civic list This is Prato – Bugetti. For the centre-right which supports Cenni’s candidacy we start with Forza Italia-Pli, followed by the civic list Gianni Cenni mayor, Lega, Silli con Prato and Fratelli d’Italia.
