Today is an unforgettable Sunday for the city of Legnano animated not only by Mother’s Day, but also by the Stralegnanese for the Centenary, a non-competitive foot race organized by US Legnanese 1913, and this year full of peculiarities in honor of the centenary of the Lombard city.
With over 1,350 participants divided between the 5km and 10km races, the event represented a significant moment for the sporting and city community, a unique opportunity to combine celebration and well-being.
The celebrations began with the athletes meeting in Largo Tosi at 8:30.
Accompanied by the festive notes of the Bersaglieri fanfare, the runners completed the last warm-up phases and then put on their bib: blue, for those who opted for the shorter distance; gold, for those who attempted the double lap. A vibrant and colorful atmosphere was thus created, with touches of black and gold, along the route that touched the five symbolic places of the city; Piazza San Magno, Palazzo Malinverni, the Visconti Castle, the Legnanese Manufacture and the Warrior Monument
The support of partners is fundamental: they enthusiastically accompany US Legnanese 1913 in organizing events which, involving the community, promote values of solidarity, participation and well-being through physical activity. In the specific case of the StraLegnanese del Centenario, special thanks go to Allianz Bank, GB Ambrosoli SpA, Move Therapy by Doctor Nicolo’ Colombo and the Olga Fiorini Higher Education Institutes.
It is precisely thanks to their support that the organizers were able to distribute some nice gifts among those who concluded the event:

▪ on Mother’s Day, it is unthinkable not to hand over the title of sprint mother; to win it, Tania Petrucci who ran the test with their three-month-old baby in the stroller, inspiring a huge round of applause from everyone.
Special awards were also given to those who demonstrated grit, speed and determination to burn the asphalt.
Maria Cecilia d’Andrea she is the first to arrive in Largo Tosi over 5km, beating the time Carolina Roveda And Francesca Morena Caruso. On the same distance, but male, it is instead Silvio Stella leaves behind Lorenzo Pastori And Matteo Caccia.Maria Olivia La Rosa she is the fastest over 10km; behind her, Alice Vittoria Fusco And Giulia Franzi. Stefano Casagrande he literally draws a blank in the men’s test, distancing himself Luca Venier And Marco Bellucco.
