Excellence, Bisceglie’s opponent in the national play-offs is official

Now there is the name of the opponent. On Sunday 26 May, Bisceglie Calcio will return to the field to secure promotion to Serie D. Once the defeat against Ugento has been archived, Di Meo’s men have at least two more games ahead of them (plus the eventual final) to earn a place in the top division amateur.

The Calabrian Eccellenza final has issued its verdict: Vigor Lamezia won the playoff final with Cittanova beaten 4-0 and he will have to deal with Bisceglie in the first round of the national play-offs. The teams that at the end of the two matches will have scored the highest number of goals or, in case of a tie, the highest number of away goals will qualify for the next round. In the event of a further draw, extra time will be played, with penalty kicks expected if no goals are scored in the two extra periods.
