Modena, 12 year old raped by kids: medical report from the prosecutor’s office

The facts date back to last week, but only on Saturday morning did the girl show up at the hospital to report the incident

MODENA – The case of the alleged sexual assault on a twelve-year-old girl now goes to the prosecutor’s office. The report from the doctors of the Polyclinic who examined the minor certifying that the abuse had occurred is the first document that reaches the Modena prosecutor’s office and, most likely, the Bologna minors’ prosecutor’s office. The file is heavy: it is being investigated for gang sexual violence. An act, the medical one, which is accompanied by the testimony that the girl and her mother will give to the police, most likely the flying squad, in the next few hours. From what has been reconstructed so far, the twelve-year-old, of Italian nationality, residing with her family in a municipality in the province of Modena, would have invited two boys slightly older than her to her home, together with a friend of hers. What was supposed to be an afternoon spent in the company of teenagers, however, turned into a nightmare: the two boys, aged 15 and 16, would have started before her with advances to the point of raping her. The contours of the story are still to be defined and confidentiality, also given the age of the people involved, is a must. Immediately taken into care by the pediatric emergency room, the 12-year-old was then examined by obstetrics-gynecology doctors, who found signs of abuse. In this specific case, since it was a minor, a protected path was activated. At the same time, a report was made to the police regarding the two minors.
