Flowers and creativity for Mother’s Day – AndriaLive.it

On May 11th, on the occasion of the Mother’s Daysome students of Artistic high school “Colasanto” they engaged in a laudable initiative that combined solidarity and creativity, setting up a beautiful banquet in the school atrium to promote the sale of splendid flower vases, the proceeds of which will be donated to Autonomous Committee for the Fight Against Tumors (KICKST).

The association, which is based in Andria, has among its main objectives that of providing information on oncology matters, organizing medical-scientific conferences, supporting the costs of home care for cancer patients, raising funds for the purchase of equipment aimed at the early diagnosis of tumors and, finally, carry out initiatives to support the fight against tumor diseases.

The aims of the committee are well known to the students who became protagonists of the event, led by the teacher in charge Elena Giorgio and by the Headmaster, Professor Cosimo Antonino Strazzeri, always available for this type of charitable initiative. In particular, the students Francesca Prodon, Melania Ciciriello, Lucia Pugliese, Antonella Scarcelli, Lucrezia Patruno, and the student Giancarlo Lomuscio they have accomplished a work on canvas and prints to give a touch of artisticity to the banquet, helping to enhance the vivid colors of the flowers on display (hydrangeas, azaleas, begonias, dahlias and gerberas).

The representatives of the Institute also collaborated in organizing the initiative Laura Cristiani and Marika Prastinawhich were excellently supported by the student Melissa di Carlo.

During the morning, the president of the was also presentCALCITDr. Nicola Marianowho praised the collaboration between his association and the school community of“Colasanto” Institute, always ready to concretely support the solidarity events promoted by associations dedicated to safeguarding the health of citizens.
