A bad road accident occurred this morning just before 7.00, on the SS 194 Modica Pozzallo. For reasons still under investigation, two cars traveling in the opposite direction collided head-on.
Due to the impact, which occurred on the expressway, near a curve, two people were injured and were rescued and transported to the Maggiore “Baglieri” hospital in Modica, the most serious being the young woman who was driving one of the two vehicles.
The firefighters who had to work to extract the injured from the cars and clear the road of debris, the 118 ambulances and the police were on site. The road was temporarily closed to traffic and motorists diverted onto other arteries.

The operational team of the Modica Detachment intervened for a road accident on the Modica-Pozzallo ss 194.
Two vehicles were involved in the accident, a Dacia and a Qashqai. Three people were on board the vehicles, two of them at the dacha. The three injured were all transported to hospital in Modica.
The driver of the Qashqai, a firefighter, who was going towards Syracuse to take duty.
Police and carabinieri intervened on the spot. The fire brigade personnel have made the area safe while waiting for the removal of the damaged cars.
