A brace – his first for the Rossoneri – to reach 15 goals for the season, 12 of which in the league. Chris Pulisic he was once again the absolute protagonist with the Rossoneri in the clear 5-1 win over Cagliari on the 36th matchday of Serie A. The American, deployed on the left in the first half and returning to the right in the second half, improved his tone in the second 45 minutes of the game scoring the 2-0 with his left foot and the 5-1 with his right.
With these numbers, Chris (12) became the first Milan midfielder to score more than 10 goals, excluding penalties, in a single season of the competition since Kaká in 2005/06 (11). Not a bad debut season in Serie A: when Pulisic scored in the league, Milan (almost) always won, with the only exception of the 4-2 in Monza.
He hadn’t scored since Milan-Lecce 3-0 on 6 April, the last victory before the 5-1 against the Sardinians. And the first double came on the night when the shirt bore the name of her mother, Kelley Harlow, who was also a soccer player when she was young at George Mason University. From her and her father he inherited the passion for football, and this time too the Rossoneri fans are grateful to her.
Chris is deservedly the MVP of Milan-Cagliari, voted by the Rossoneri fans on the AC Milan Official App with over 53% of the votes, ahead of Bennacer and Reijnders, two other goalscorers of the evening. Two more games at the end of the season, to give yourself more satisfaction and, why not, touch up the already excellent statistics so far.
