Cremona UISP CHESS PLAYERS IN PRISON AWARDED.
Beautiful awards ceremony of the chess tournament inside the prison in Via Cà del Ferro a Cremonawith awards and final refreshments such as the group photo of the participants.
In the presence of the director of the prison, Dr. Rossella Padula, of the penitentiary police personnel, the Sports Councilor of the Municipality of Cremona Luca Zanacchi, assisted by the UISP animator Fabio Pellachin, awarded the top four finishers of the tournament which took place in the months from January to the end of April 2024 involving around twenty inmates: 1st place DD from Bulgaria, second place HN from the Philippines, , Romania’s third LI and Albania’s fourth PB.
The presence of the Cremonese Chess Academy represented by Biolchi Federico was significant and played a simultaneous match with the top four in the tournament.
