LIDL plants non-monumental olive trees in Molfetta – MolfettaLive.it

Non-monumental olive trees will be planted in Molfetta thanks to a project proposed by LIDL Italia to the Municipality, favorably received by the Authority for the “undoubted valorization of the arboreal heritage, given the significant value of the plants”.

The areas where the commercial giant’s initiative in distribution will take shape have already been identified: these are the gardens of the “Giaquinto” and “Di Vagno” schools, the green area of the Lama Scotella headquarters, the green area between Via Ruvo with the corner Mons. Picone, finally the coastal strip between Torre Calderina and Cala San Giacomo where the intervention will be notable given that it covers approximately 20 thousand square meters of surface area.

On the part of LIDL Italia, which will also take care of the transplanting of the plants and the first watering, there is the desire to “allow production continuity on the part of local agricultural companies, in the spirit of environmental protection and safeguarding the territory”, explains the Common.

The bureaucratic process for the execution of the initiative has begun, with approval by the Council.
